El siguiente video aplica conceptos de sicología evolutiva a la comparación bíblica de la iglesia con el cuerpo. Es útil para elaborar y organizar grupalmente ideas que contribuyan al crecimiento y la salud general de la iglesia. Habíendo visto el video y reflexionado sobre su contenido, el grupo desarrolla sus ideas para el mejoramiento de la iglesia en torno a los colores presentados. Se invita a los participantes a seguir los siguientes pasos:
- Considerar las necesidades y deficiencias que sienten en su respectiva congregacion.
- Identificar el color al que corresponden dichas percepciones.
- Escribir en fichas del color correpondiente las sugerencias para continuar creciendo integral y sanamente.

Bienvenidos a este laboratorio de ideas. Las reflexiones expuestas en este video son para ayudarnos a fomentar conversaciones integrales en nuestras congregaciones. Tome el tiempo necesario para organizar y elaborar sus ideas con su grupo pensando en el el beneficio y desarrollo de todos.
Según la Biblia, la iglesia es el cuerpo de Cristo. Sin embargo, en la iglesia, Cristo está encarnado en nosotros, y como no somos perfectos, crecemos gradualmente hasta alcanzar la «estatura de la plenitud de Cristo», como escribió Pablo a los Efesios. Además, al igual que un cuerpo físico, la iglesia puede enfermarse y debilitarse. Pablo, por ejemplo, advirtió a Timoteo sobre palabras que se propagan y corroen como la gangrena. Por ello, la iglesia debe velar por mantener un crecimiento saludable.
Por otra parte, mientras vivamos en esta tierra, estaremos expuestos a diversos factores externos que nos influyen. Al igual que sucede con nuestro cuerpo, algunos de estos factores nos benefician, otros nos perjudican, y algunos pueden ser positivos o negativos según sea nuestra reacción ante ellos. Por ello, debemos estar atentos para discernir qué debemos evitar, qué debemos procurar y cómo debemos adaptarnos a nuestro entorno de una manera saludable que promueva nuestro crecimiento.
En esta gráfica. cada uno de estos rectángulos de diferentes colores representa un grupo de miembros con experiencias, formación y dones diversos. A través de cada miembro, el Espíritu Santo ministra a todo el cuerpo. Cada persona es única, diferente y especial en cada momento de la vida de la iglesia. Cada quien contribuye con lo que Dios le va poniendo en su corazón al crecimiento y la salud del cuerpo entero.
Pero, cuando un miembro o un grupo de miembros creen que solo sus ideas son válidas, hay problemas. Uno o unos puede descartar e incluso oponerse a los demás. Esto puede ocasionar frustraciones, enojos y amarguras. Cuando esto sucede, el cuerpo se debilita y corre el riesgo de enfermarse gravemente.
Fíjese en los rectángulos: algunos tienen los bordes quebrados, mientras que otros están cerrados. Los rectángulos con bordes quebrados representan los momentos en que damos mayor importancia a hacer y lograr cosas. En cambio, los rectángulos con bordes cerrados simbolizan los momentos en que valoramos más las relaciones y la cohesión del grupo, estando dispuestos a hacer sacrificios para fortalecerlas. ¿Puede identificar cuáles rectángulos tienen los bordes quebrados y cuáles están cerrados?
Vamos a decir que el primer rectángulo, de color castaño claro, se enfoca en la supervivencia. Se destaca el sentido de peligro. Incluye aquellas ideas que nos alertan sobre riesgos inminentes. ¡Vamos a extinguirnos! ¡Tenemos que hacer algo urgente! Estas sensaciones pueden ser acertadas o exageradas. Son acertadas cuando realmente hay un peligro. En estos casos, son muy necesarias. Son exageradas, como en el caso de la paranoia o las alergias, cuando el peligro no existe o no es muy grave. En este caso le hacen daño al cuerpo.
El rectángulo morado se enfoca en la congregación. Siente la necesidad de pertenecer a un grupo seguro que lo apoya y le inspira confianza.
El rectángulo rojo corresponde al liderazgo. Siente la necesidad de un liderazgo con autoridad que provea límites y dirección. Se enfoca en el orden y el respeto. Corre el riesgo exagerar la autoridad del liderazgo y no tomar en cuenta la comunicación que viene de otras partes del cuerpo.
El rectángulo azul corresponde a la doctrina. Siente la necesidad de saber más y de estar más seguro de lo que sabe y de lo cree. Prefiere las verdades que son bien claras. La certeza de la doctrina le da más seguridad que el grupo o el liderazgo.
El rectángulo anaranjado se enfoca en la obra. Quiere ver resultados. Se motiva con la idea de lograr metas. Piensa en estrategias y métodos para lograr resultados.
El rectángulo verde representa el sentido de misión. Se enfoca en la gente de la comunidad y en los que, de alguna manera, están cercanos a nosotros. Busca la manera de servir a la comunidad. Encuentra satisfacción en ser parte de traer bendición a otros y al planeta que Dios nos dio.
El rectángulo amarillo se concentra en la espiritualidad. Desea crecer espiritualmente con una mayor acercamiento a Dios y una mayor presencia del Espíritu Santo en la vida.
Finalmente, el rectángulo color turquesa se enfoca en el amor. Desea participar en el infinito amor y plenitud de Dios para con toda su creación. Aprecia la conexión y unificación de todas las cosas bajo la poderosa autoridad compasiva y vivificante de Cristo.
Habiendo considerado estas reflexiones, el reto es valorar e integrar debidamente nuestras ideas y perspectivas. Para ello debemos tener presente lo siguiente:
Nuestras ideas y soluciones son temporales y no son perfectas. Estamos en un proceso de constante crecimiento.

According to the Bible, the church is the body of Christ. However, in the church, Christ is incarnated in us, and since we are not perfect, we have to gradually grow until we reach the “stature of the fullness of Christ,” as Paul wrote to the Ephesians. Furthermore, just like a physical body, the church can become sick and weak. Paul, for example, warned Timothy about words that spread and corrode like gangrene. Therefore, the church must ensure that it maintains a healthy growth.
On the other hand, as long as we live on this earth, we will be exposed to various external factors that influence us. As with our body, some of these factors benefit us, others harm us, and some can be positive or negative depending on our reaction to them. Therefore, we must be vigilant in discerning what we should avoid, what we should strive for, and how we should adapt to our environment in a healthy way that promotes our growth.
In the video's chart, each of these differently colored rectangles represents a group of members with diverse experiences, training, and gifts. The Holy Spirit ministers to the entire body through each member,. Each person is unique, different, and special at every moment in the life of the church. Each person contributes what God puts in his or her heart to the growth and health of the entire body.
But when a member or a group of members believe that only their ideas are valid, there are problems. One or some members may dismiss and even oppose others. This can lead to frustration, anger, and bitterness. When this happens, the body becomes weak and runs the risk of becoming seriously ill.
Look at the rectangles: some have jagged edges, while others are closed. The rectangles with jagged edges represent the times when we place greater importance on doing and achieving things. In contrast, rectangles with closed edges symbolize times when we value relationships and group cohesion the most. In those instances are willing to make sacrifices to strengthen cohesion and unity. Can you identify which rectangles have broken edges and which are closed?
Let's say that the first rectangle, which is light brown, focuses on survival. It highlights the sense of danger. It includes those ideas that alert us to imminent risks. We're going to become extinct! We have to do something urgently! These feelings can be accurate or exaggerated. They are accurate when there is real danger. In these cases, they are very necessary. They are exaggerated, as in the case of paranoia or allergies, when the danger does not exist or is not very serious. In this case, those perceptions can harm the body.
The purple rectangle focuses on the congregation. You feel the need to belong to a safe group that supports you and inspires confidence.
The red rectangle corresponds to leadership. You feel the need for authoritative leadership that provides limits and direction. The focus is on order and respect. It runs the risk of exaggerating the authority of leadership and of not taking sufficiently into account the communication that comes from other parts of the body.
The blue rectangle corresponds to doctrine. Here the predominant feelings revolves around the need to know more and to be more certain of what one knows and believes. One prefers truths that are very clear. The certainty of doctrine gives the member a better sense of security than the group itself or its leadership.
The orange rectangle focuses on work. One wants to see results. Onr is motivated by the idea of achieving goals. One's ideas revolve arround strategies and methods to achieve results.
The green rectangle represents the sense of mission. One focuses on the people of the community and on those who, in some way, are close to us. One looks for a way to serve the community. One finds satisfaction in being part of something that brings blessings to others and to the planet God gave us.
The yellow rectangle focuses on spirituality. One wants to grow spiritually and come closer to God God. One seeks a greater presence of the Holy Spirit in one's life.
Finally, the turquoise rectangle focuses on love. One desires to participate in God's infinite love and its fullness for all of his creation. One appreciates the connection and unification of all things under the powerful, compassionate, and life-giving authority of Christ.
Having considered these reflections, the challenge is to properly value and integrate our different ideas and perspectives. To do so, we must keep in mind the following:
(1) Our ideas and solutions are temporary and are never perfect.
(2) We are (and as long as we live will be) in a process of constant growth.
